May Apple Discussion:
We try to rush out into the deep woods around the second week of June, to pick the fruit of the may apple plant, as well as gather its roots. If we wait longer than that, the plants are dying off and returning back into the forest bed until next year. It loves the cover of the trees and is found on the bed of the forest, well inside where the sunlight does not normally directly touch. This is a rare plant to find because it is considered to be one of the strongest herbs on the planet. It is so important to use this plant with care and caution that you may want to use it at your practitioner’s advice. As with anything that is taken at low doses, especially for the first time, we must start low and work up, finding our own dose.
The mayapple plant is actually related to the potent barberry plant, which is mostly used for parasites. It has umbrella-shaped leaves and is also known as “Ground Lemon, Wild Mandrake, Hog Apple, Duck’s Foot, Love Apples, Devil’s Apple, Wild Lemon, Umbrella Plant, Racoon Berry, and American Mandrake. It was used by the Indians for centuries for things like parasites, purging matter, wart removal, liver complaints, and constipation. It is currently being studied as a possible remedy for leukemia!
It is considered to be a “purgative’ plant, meaning that it causes the body to purge matter and toxins out from vomiting and diarrhea at the same time. With care and caution, this plant can be used responsibly, for medicinal purposes. This tincture is made from the ripe berry, which is only edible once it turns yellow, and the roots, as it is said that all other parts of the plant are toxic. The ripe berry is actually used for jams, jellies, and stews! They say that if you handle this plant that it can cause an allergic reaction. They say this is due to an allergy to its compound, podophyllin. We harvest this plant and we have never had any type of reaction, although, it may be best to test these products on your skin before oral use. The skin test may actually be more effective than any other test for sensitivities.
True herbalists say that it is a most powerful herb that may provide support for things like all of the systems and inner parts to the liver, intestinal stimulant, and that it is promising for things such as many types of cancers. They sometimes use it for its compounds that are specific for neoplasms and carcinoma. While it may cause diarrhea, it is also said to treat it. Its root can be boiled to drink as tea to help settle a stomachache. While it is ideal for topical warts, it is suggested for topical use on genital warts and corns as well. Some others use it as a remedy for white patches of hair that may grow on the tongue and as a matter of fact, it is suggested for many different types of growing effects on the tongue. We are told that it may be helpful for skin problems, gynecological infections, many types of tumors, fever, hearing loss, syphilis, lesions, jaundice, softening the bowels, fighting intestinal worms, evacuating waste, and for snakebite. It is used specifically by many for increasing mucus secretion from the small intestine and reinstating this organs power and functioning.
As you see, may apple has obtained a reputation and has been demonized by the medical society, while the herbal world finds it very useful!
Product Variations:
We highly recommend getting 2 different variations of the following to know exactly what a specific herb will, or will not do for you, as well as to achieve saturation.
Standard Tincture – Herbal compounds extracted in an alcohol base. Alcohol offers a superior absorption rate. We recommend allowing your dose to sit under the tongue for 3+ minutes, then swallowing it down with a drink of water. Otherwise, you may add it to 4 oz. of water, juice, or a smoothie. Microscopic compounds are readily available to be absorbed through tissues, into the bloodstream, and then circulated to organs.
Lipospheric Tincture – This is a standard tincture that is put through an energetic process. We collide the herbal compounds with oxygen molecules, to encase them both within an oxygenated bubble. The difference can be clearly seen because the tincture lightens in color. The lipospheres’ may have the capability to surpass the bioavailability of a standard tincture, although it exhibits all of the same benefits.
All variations are animal & child-safe, at the appropriate dosage. View our child’s dosage guide by Clicking Here.
Always use herbs wisely and with common sense, as they are to be respected. We hope that you have learned something new by reading these variations! Attaining herbal knowledge may help you, a child, family members, or a friend sometime in the future! Lastly, most of our herbs and products have been tested by an energetic practitioner, using a bio resonance scanning system. The results showed that our products tested up to 360% more powerful than other brand names!
